This project was all about practicality and being creative with the space. This was an new outbuilding and the customer had chosen Crown Pavilions for the build. The room was tight so we needed to considerer lots of options for the layout so every inch was optimised.
The first plan was to keep the room clean and minimalist as we could. There was an office room to the left side of the bay and also a beautiful recessed bar area in the room. The plan was there was a cupboard off the office room which was behind the bar wall. We chose to make this cupboard the ideal place to position the PC and AV receiver so more space could be used in the sim room. Every little helped here.
Two touchscreens on the rear wall were positioned ready for specific seating to come in underneath which wouldn’t effect being able to reach the monitors. Trackman io was used and needed to be positioned off centre to allow swing clearance. A Trackman io Low unit was needed and put it on the limit for recommended height because of the sloped roof. A dedicated mount that we make for Trackman io made it easy to position and level the launch monitor.
Our usual custom ultra screen with trim kit fitted the room shape perfectly. Upholstered wall panels were used to create the bay area. There were a coupe of design options and the client chose which they preferred.
Huxley golf laid the stunning black putting turf along with their premier tee turf which we love as its a great colour when using the golf simulator as a home cinema. A 5.1.2 Audio system was used for cinema use, along with PlayStation gaming.
Finally we also provisioned cabling for Swing cameras. Although these were not opted for at this time we also like to cover all options for future upgrades and having cabling behind the walls in situ, makes for a quick and affordable upgrade if required.
This room is a testament to a wonderful client who was involved in the whole process and pushed with us for the ultimate space over spec. A great success and a beautiful golf simulator room and home cinema that the whole family can now enjoy.
