This bespoke Trackman golf simulator installation in Somerset transformed a converted bungalow overlooking the Bristol Channel into a stunning luxury indoor golf and entertainment space. The customer already had an existing golf simulator enclosure installed but wanted to upgrade to a premium Trackman IO setup that delivered a cleaner finish, improved technology, and a far more immersive playing experience.
The building was split between a home gym and an indoor golf simulator room, providing the perfect foundation for a complete golf simulator upgrade. By removing the previous enclosure system, we were able to maximise the available room dimensions and create a more spacious, modern, and professional golf environment.
Custom Golf Simulator Design & Installation
The large open room allowed us to install one of our custom-made Golf Tech Ultra Impact screens measuring nearly 4.5 metres wide. This premium golf impact screen was specifically designed to deliver exceptional image quality, durability, and realism while creating a true tour-level simulator experience.
To complement the angled roofline of the converted bungalow, bespoke black fabric detailing was installed at the top of the screen to fit the shape of the roof and give a 16:9 ratio which paired with a BENQ BR 4K projector, produced a stunning high-definition display with incredible clarity and detail.
Our bespoke faux leather wall panels framed with LED strip lighting completed the visual finish of the room, while premium black putting turf and green tee turf from Huxley Golf created a realistic playing surface suitable for both practice and entertainment. Every aspect of the design was carefully considered to combine luxury aesthetics with high-performance golf simulator technology.
The Trackman IO launch monitor, ceiling-mounted within our Golf Tech Systems protective case to protect against stray shots while maintaining a sleek and discreet appearance.
To enhance the overall simulator experience, a large 55-inch touchscreen display was installed on the side wall alongside a secondary 43-inch display positioned towards the rear of the room above a bespoke handcrafted media cabinet. The custom cabinet features an integrated cooling system designed to house the gaming PC, Sky box, and additional AV equipment, neatly and efficiently.
The setup was further enhanced with both face-on and rear IDS swing analysis cameras, giving the customer access to advanced golf swing capture, 3D motion analysis, and feedback for a truly professional indoor golf experience.
In addition to creating a premium golf simulator room, the customer also wanted the space to function as a luxury home cinema and sports entertainment area. To achieve this, we integrated a Sonos Arc soundbar discreetly positioned behind the impact screen alongside two Sonos Era speakers mounted on the rear wall.
This premium surround sound setup delivers an immersive audio experience whether the room is being used for golf simulation, watching live sport, streaming films, or listening to music. The finished room now operates as a fully multi-functional entertainment space while still maintaining the look and feel of a luxury indoor golf studio.
The completed project is a perfect example of a high-end Trackman golf simulator installation in Somerset, combining advanced golf simulator technology, luxury interior finishes, and premium AV integration within a beautifully converted property overlooking the Bristol Channel.
The customer was delighted with the final result and particularly impressed by how much larger, cleaner, and more spacious the room felt after upgrading from the previous enclosure-based golf simulator setup.
